Comment on sun-bleached flies

  1. This whole situation is alarming. I finished reading with a distinct feeling of moral obligation to act. The subject matter is profoundly illegal, and I couldn't in good conscience ignore it. I have done my part and provided all the details about this fic to the appropriate police division that handles these types of online submissions. I will not stop until I see confirmation that the police have successfully removed this disturbing and non-legal material from the public sphere.

    1. I hope you divert this energy into helping real victims from real traumas.
The material is meant to be disturbing to draw awareness to these things. It's a helpful way for victims to process and heal from abuse.

Censorship is the real villain. Being exposed to the language to describe what was happening to me could have actually provided some help. It begins with awareness.

Doing your part would be so incredibly appreciated. I was filled with hope that this inspired someone to learn more about these issues and to volunteer their time or donate or at least educate the youth around them about bodily autonomy and boundaries.

So the second half of this comment broke my heart. I do hope that you were able to learn something. But contact the police over a work of fiction that you read online is, frankly, a waste of everyone's time and energy.

You can do so, so much better. I believe in you.
