    As for the reasons for choosing "Rogue Planet":
    1) I found the Eska - the aliens-of-the-week deadly boring; like cheap Klingon-imitations and thought I could go for the real thing.
    2) I wanted to bring Bu'kaH back because she was awesome. Since I'm not planning to do a "Sleeping Dogs" episode, I needed a different scenery.
    3) I've got further plans for her, in a later installment of the series.

      That makes a lot of sense honestly, swapping out the Eska for something with real thematic weight was a great call. Bringing Bu’kaH back adds so much texture, and knowing you have longer-term plans for her makes her presence feel purposeful rather than nostalgic. I really like how you’re using Rogue Planet as a narrative pivot instead of just an episode rewrite.
      I actually had a small idea inspired by this fic. If you’d ever be comfortable continuing the conversation on another social platform you use, I’d be happy to follow your lead no pressure at all if you’d rather keep things here. Either way, I’m really enjoying where this series is headed ^^

        Thank you. If you want to discuss things on a different forum, the story is also posted to the otherworlds_lib LiveJournal community. I use wiseheart on LJ, in honour of a Tolkien character because Soledad was already taken when I created my journal.
