I found a place where you missed a gender change --- in Chapter 11. The sentence: "Until I met Reed a week ago, I kinda only talked to my dad and a few scattered people online I didn't really know very well.” And then it goes back to "mom" in the next paragraph.
By the way... I love this story! I have ADHD and while my sensory issues are not as impairing as Andrew's, I get bothered by clothes and migraines from lights. I just can't tune anything out.
I love the representation of neurodivergent friendship !! It might not work for some people, but I've found a lot of good friends and great satisfaction from being really really upfront in my communication. One of my best friends right now, I remember saying: "I think you're really cool, we should hang out and be friends." And now we do, and we are.
Also a tangent: I wish they made clothes that had all the seams on the outside instead of the inside. And I really, REALLY wish that wrist braces were made with sensory comfort in mind... I sprained both my wrists this year and they do NOT make those things out of nice materials. They had exposed hook-side velcro that gets caught on your hair and clothes constantly, right on the thumbs!!! Who designed that?!
