Comment on Heart of Darkness

  1. Ohh excellent chapter! I'm glad Jaime & Kevan were out of the room already when Ned gave Tywin his sentance!
Hmm I wonder just how long it will take for Ned to start feeling guilt for what he put Tywin through? He honestly should have just sentenced him to death but he's letting his emotions rule him, and he's going to regret it once it's done.
Can't wait for the next chapter! =D

    1. Thanks! Yes, Ned's emotions ruled him, plus he was clearly losing it due to lack of sleep. I'm imagine him to be on the verge of a manic episode (minus the euphoria) in this chapter. And of course Varys played both Ned and Tywin really well to produce this outcome. Needless to say Ned is going to regret this soon.

      1. Your welcome! And poor Ned and Tywin. Hmm will Ned come to realize Varys played him? I know he doesn't like or trust him in cannon.
I'm also curious of how Cersei & Tyrion will take this! While Tyrion doesn't care much for his father, this is taking place before the Tysha incident so he likely doesn't despise his father, and both of them seemed to care for uncle Kevan and of course loved Jaime... I hope we get to see a chapter with them and some anger/upset from both!

        1. We'll see, but I'm sorry to say there's a good chance Ned might not find out he got played. On the whole, he's finds himself in a very messy and complicated situation, after all, where all kinds of people have all kinds of interests.
Both Cersei and Tyrion are in Casterly Rock, not KL, as all of this is happening, but their fate will be addressed in one of the later chapters and the epilogue.

          1. Ah alright, that makes sense.
And okay, I'll look forward to them being addressed in a latter chapter!
