Thanks for commenting! And - is it technically cheating, if the marriage was never consummated? *makes innocent face* Plus, I think that a little complex would be doing to Sherlock's ego some good.
I think it depends in the spirit of which the marriage was conceived and became. For John, it probably felt like cheating because even all those years later his heart belonged to Sherlock. Although, John did think it was annulled since he never got the license or anything. So he may not have thought of it cheating then...but later on after he reacquainted with Sherlock? I think he did. At least a little.
Depends on what the complex would become. Sherlock can be a bit...obsessive at times and depending on how he goes about it the whole thing might be a learning lesson for him or a giant aggravation for John.
Yup - after he started living in 221B, my headcanon is: we see him trying to date - but never actually succeeding. He slept on Sarah's sofa in the canon, for God's sake:) Yes, Sherlock kept effectively interrupting his dates, but John is a grown-up, if he really wanted to get laid, he would have. I left this particular point unanswered in this story for everyone to decide their own headcanon:)
Ah. I wasn't sure how much action John was seeing. It sort of seemed like he was sleeping with that Sargent, but also not?
Bar hopping and making it known you just want to fuck helps some people get laid. My brother and his friends mainly. I'm not that type of person and I don't drink.
