Wow! I love the Handmaid's tale almost as much as I adore Game of Thrones ! I think that's brilliant. I also think that your choice to not mix the character, it's more original and you don't have to rely on fixed patterns that are more difficult to change. However, at the beginning it's quite natural to imagine Ellaria as aunt Lydia or Brienne as June. But I'll get used soon to that. Now I'm reading the next chapters :)
Me, too! Thank you so much! It was fairly hard to think of anyone 'aunt' like from GoT, since most of the female characters are on the younger side, super minor or wouldn't fit the roll. There are definitely parallels between June/Brienne and Ellaria/Lydia, but I hopefully have written them as separate, unique and sort of in character. We shall see haha! :)
