Gabriel is ... I don't have words. You wrote him so complexly twisted and understandable and I still just want to toss him into the farthest sulfur pit. And I breaks my heart to see every other angel just go meh and ignore the pain and despair rolling off of Crowley.
i'm so glad you liked the way Gabriel was written in this chapter, we were going for the sort of complexity that leaves poor Crowley so confused, too :(
The thing about the angels... they maybe AREN'T all okay with Crowley's pain. But his perspective is kind of limited, because he's always with Gabriel. :/ and those who are NOT okay with it aren't exactly going to put it on display in front of their boss :(
Still seems just as hopeless and awful from his point of view :(
