I'm rereading this and enjoying it immensely. Such a clever, surprising and emotionally intense story. I particularly admire this chapter and how you line by line compared the sexually frustrated murder victim with the flirty woman with John and sarageant Willis's flirtation; the drugged water case scene in Lestrade's office; the ruminations about SH's kiss (esp the query if more surprised only one kiss or kissed at all) and broken heart from Victor; all the ways Sherlock ineptly tried to show his appreciations for John; interactions between Mycroft and SH and how Mycroft tries to help and also anticipates john leaving; and all the fumblings at the end, with both trying to preserve their hearts from being hurt again. So many wonderful comparisons and twists.
