Your handle on tu forms is improving! :-) However, “Votre français est très bien!” should be, “Ton français est très bien!”

And John telling Sherlock, “Tu es ma meilleure amie,” is not going to support their cover as gay *men*, eh? Try “Tu es mon meilleur ami,” instead. :-)

    1. I am so happy to know that I'm improving!
I shall correct it to "Ton français est très bien!” instead in just a few moments, thank you so much for pointing that out!

With John's French though, his is going to be wrong and, yes, John was being a bit of an arse with saying that statement in French. He didn't say it too loudly, but he said it to be annoying back to Sherlock. Thank you though! I will put that aside and perhaps change it if I think it's better to do so!

      Thanks so much for everything!

The thing is, if John makes funny mistakes, Sherlock's not the person who's going to hesitate to point them out.

So if John referred to Sherlock as "ma meilleure amie," Sherlock would almost certainly raise an eyebrow and say something like, "Masculine, John. We're supposed to be gay men." If you write it like that, then you let the reader in on the joke. :-)

        1. Haha Yes, very good point!

John muttered it and then changed the subject, so Sherlock didn't correct him because he was more focused on denying what John had assumed of him. However...you make a very good point so I may indeed either change what John said, to have it correct, or slip in Sherlock correcting him again. Thanks so much! *Smiles*

Which do you think would be best? Should I just correct his French or have Sherlock correct him?

Oh, I'd go for Sherlock correcting him. Because you're right, John's going to slip up.
