And fix some of those communication issues! And laugh about this! Literally the only problem is that there’s only one body, and therefore no one’s told Lan Zhan yet. Having spent the whole story screaming uselessly at Wei Wuxian, I decided I needed a canon character who would do that for me. And Lan Jingyi was like, "I volunteer as tribute."

Yeah, this story is arguably hardest on Lan Xichen, not least because he's the only actual adult in possession of all the facts, here. And unlike certain other people, he has done NOTHING to deserve this. I do actually feel kinda bad. Being a Real Adult is so thankless.
