    Your Dylan is fascinating as always. The way he kinda expected to be kidnapped as a child because that's what happens in movies! The way people telling him he's special uncorks such heavy resentment because it's what the prime candidate program was! I like that he has such conflicted feelings, and not just because he's hangry.

    "He said it was his gift until he could invite them over proper. After everyone had finally adjusted back to regular life." Big isolation mood tbh

    Even in her brief appearance, Emily's voice is spot-on. She's trying, but now is not the time for questions!!

    Dylan accepting some of Polaris' help (and/or her finally deciding to give it?) is so sweet, as is just the image of the three of them nervous on the doorstep, invisibly bound together. And the ending is so sweet. I'm glad you're still writing about these kids!

      <3!!!! Dylan really exemplifies that feeling of like... feeling like the world is moving way too fast without you and way too slow for your own liking at the same time, I think. He's trying to sort everything out (but doesnt always want to, even when he does) and not being able to control the factors that sometimes make him confront things before he's ready makes it all a bit more tangled. I think he definitely sometimes gets stuck in the feeling "well the day is already bad, so I hope the rest is just as miserable" and almost gets frustrated when its not, because he's not really sure what to do when it turns out pretty okay.

      Honestly tho, @ Remedy did you know your lockdown would be so widely relatable

      Ah! I'm glad. I worry all the characters are slipping from me a bit (which wouldn't be bad, but I like to keep myself as close to their voices and canon as I can, usually)

      I love thinking about the weird uncomfortable rift between those three, where things aren't quite the same and aren't really repaired but there's an underlying deeper thing where they just can... kinda still rest in each other despite that. Thank you so much!! ;u; I am far too excited to try and get the next chapter on paper
