    Oh my god. Oh. This was so wonderfully done. I absolutely love the pacing in this, the way you managed to maintain a strand of urgency under the otherwise lulling, almost unreal sort of quality of everything else. What I particularly loved, though, was the door with not!Q behind it, and how there was a touch of something...sinister lurking there? Like some understated kind of eeriness. On the topic of Q, I honestly had a mini heart attack when actual!Q started bleeding and my mind basically went haywire, thinking that Bond really is just imagining all of this, or that Q had been hurting himself in the process of visiting Bond. ajdkhasfdsb oh god, my heart.

    He looks so sad, and Bond doesn’t know what to do with it – surely the imminent demise of one Double-Oh well past expiry date doesn’t warrant so much heartache.

    MY HEART. The fact that Bond doesn't know how to handle this, and the fact that Bond has gotten so used to the idea of no one caring about him/his death, that's just wonderfully painful, hng. And on a completely different note, I love how you incorporated Q's cat into this! Such a great way to lend added depth into an already great, wonderfully thought-out alternate (...better, really) scenario. <333 Bless. I loved every word of this, thank you for fixing Spectre with such poise.

      Well, Q may or may not have been hurting himself by coming there (I mean, I don't think he got much sleep in this version of events, and someone upside is probably tasked with making surte he eats and sleeps at least a little, and doesn't work himself into an early grave getting Bond back). And his signal to come back would have to be something impossible to ignore, because otherwise he'd probably stay longer and hurt himself even worse, hence the nosebleed :).

      Q: chipping at Bond's "nobody loves me" facade since 2012 :).
