    My God. I’m not often moved to tears with fanfic, but that backstory…the Priest’s (Charlie’s! Love the name!) pain absolutely radiates off the page (screen?).

    I’m fully in agreement that the Church could fix A LOT of problems if it let go of its hang-ups about sex. I mean, have you actually read the “rules” or whatever? I’m hoping the version I read through was ancient, because basically e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g is a sin. Fucking everything. Clergy should be allowed to marry and they need to leave everyone else’s sex lives alone.

    Anyway, this fic is incredible. You are very talented and I’m so glad that you decided to share this! Welcome to the fandom!

      I'm so glad you're enjoying it so far. And it's such a relief that at least one person (other than myself lol) likes the name Charlie. I'd bounced around with different names, and wasn't all that happy with any of them, and in fact, in the rough draft I wrote way back when, Charlie wasn't the name. It changed when I started editing and reworking it last month. The name seemed like a light bulb turning on over my head.

      Yeah, I completely agree with the Church's rules (and most organized religion in general). Way too concerned with controlling everyone's sex life while turning a blind eye to their own issues.
