Thank you! Happy you're liking the story. That means a lot! I've never spent much time in London (apart from the airport) but I did live in Bristol for about nine months. Although, that was about 11 years ago. And yeah! I know Sogo is very different now than many years ago. I specifically looked up articles written in the 2015-2017 period that talked about Soho, and there was one that mentioned the recent gentrification of the area, and an article about the how much the storied "red light district" had changed, and there used to be all these flats specifically designated for prostitution, but now the number had dwindled significantly, etc.
Haha yes Gurdjieff. I don't know much about him (other than what's on his Wikipedia page), but he had the perfect quote to fit the story.
