    So you're saying Aizawa is a better parental figure than All Might, because he according to you manipulates his student and should be feared rather than admired, Aizawa would literally expel any student on the slightest mistake and you think he's a better parental figure, also yeah Toshinori gives bad advice to Izuku but what kind of advice did Aizawa give to Izuku, he literally said "get better control" and left it at that. Aizawa cares for his students and he protects them yeah but does he teach them anything, he told them the world isn't fair and then taught them absolutely nothing else, he taught Shinso an entire fighting style and he's not even in his class at least Toshinori gets better with time, Aizawa doesnt. The only reason people like him is because they can ship him with Mic and be like "oH hE's SuCh A gOoD hUsBaNd He'D mAkE a GrEaT fAtHeR" and don't give me some bullshit saying Toshinori hates Izuku he loves that boy like a son, especially considering All For One already took away the rest of his family and destroyed his body I don't think its right to make this man suffer more than he already has.

      Honestly that’s fair and I love your points. To be fair, I’m not the biggest fan of Aizawa because of how he acts in canon and why he continues to not help his students although he does help Shinsou a lot.

      I think my favorite parental figure for Izuku is Present Mic or Powerloader although, for this AU, I did intend for Mic and Aizawa to be seen as the possible parental figures at the school but I also just love the idea of Izuku relying on Masaru more so that was kinda the main focus I was going for. I believe Aizawa would want to protect his students (and when he saw Izuku’s scars that’s kinda what was running through his mind but Masaru was the only physical father figure that Izuku had.)

      In my mind, the boys grew up together and only had one physical influence for a dad so Masaru seems like a gentle but firey person but, again, we don’t see much of their relationship in canon so I’m making most of that up.

      Personally, I just find it hard to be okay with All Might. Yes, the care that he shows Izuku gets much more real over time but he watched the boy struggle for a month, the first time they met he showed an obvious fan that he was dying (I really think he could’ve just lied his way out of it), and he didn’t necessarily train Izuku on that beach (just gave him muscles).

      That’s why I don’t know if the care he shows Izuku is completely real or not. I don’t think he’s a bad person but the two of them hold enough of the same values at heart that it tends come off as self destructive for both parties.

      (Also I hate the commission and needed someone to pin the blame on because UA had never chained a student up before so I feel like the decision went over Nedzu’s head and this AU just made All Might the best choice)

      I hope that makes sense and I loved talking about these ideas with you. I didn’t intend for this AU to come across as a comparison between Aizawa and All Might since that wasn’t my main focus.
