    Your Rhaegar really does think more with his head. Elia should doubt his feelings when she learns he chose to propose to Atera.

     

    I saw an interesting story the other day where Elia's father is secretly Maegor Targaryen, son of Aerion. A lot of people liked it.
    If you want to make another fic after this one, could use this.

      We'll meet with Elia in the next chapter, she has many things to doubt before that proposal fiasco :) I must admit that I am a huge fan of this headcanon; Rhaegar did love Elia but never show it around other people to protect them from Aerys' wrath. Because in the vision Daenerys saw they seem rather close and cute -though it makes canon Rhaegar's actions even worse. My Rhaegar is rational but so is my Elia, though they cannot compete with Atera on that *facepalm. I am going to write them in a romantic way but it will not come easily.

      This story has many other subplots in it and it actually connects with my series "Fire&Blood and Blood&Fire; The Prequel of the Usurper's Rebellion" -which starts with Daeron II's ascension and will end with the Duskendale, right before this book starts, timeline wise. I had already finished the first book of that series (there will be 10), you can find it and the second and third books on my page. Again, without giving major spoilers, Maegor will be involved in this book soon enough and I will tell about his origins in those prequel books. Though, Maegor being Elia's father is such a cool idea. Can I learn the name of that book?

      I am also planning to write another book after this one, as a 'what if' book, that will have this story as origins but will take place in the original ASOIAF timeline, I am planning to write it rigth after this ends.

        If I remember correctly, when GRRM was asked about Elia and Rhaegar's relationship, he said "it's complicated".
