Hmm... So, the Fierce Deity probably pre-dates Sothis then, to call her 'Fell Star' and betrayer and alluding to subjugating the native humans. ... The only place I recall hearing Byleth/Sothis referred to as "Fell Star" is from Solon. It's possible the Fierce Deity doesn't actually pre-date the Nabateans but is instead a creation (in some manner) of Those Who Slither In The Dark. ... On that note I wonder if he'll have any kind of reaction to "Tomas." Good on Link for having a strong will and practice in pretending everything is fine when he's really screaming on the inside! I can't wait to get to the bottom of things! Hopefully, the Monastery will have plenty to keep a side-quester like him occupied! I'm actually really glad he didn't get accepted into the Officer's Academy. Would have meddle too much with interpersonal dynamics from canon. As a peripheral member, Link has an even more outsider pov without having to be smack dab in the middle of the game's plot and instead we can focus on world building.
