    okay so mumbo's perception of the wings matches grian's build, almost an extension of them. but scar sees something that references his relationship to grian, first the desert tones from third life and now the pesky-bird parrots (probably in season nine they'll a creamy buttercup yellow). and ren sees mycellium, an extension of *his* association with grian, a fellow member of the mycellium resistance

    so i think maybe *all* the hermits see the wings based on how they relate to grian, and mumbo's version is build based because mumbo primarily sees grian as a *fellow builder*
