You nailed it with the 'not difficult to love but difficult to show it right', like they're all so good and kind but traumatised in deep ways. There's so so much about the Cass in this fic that is complicated, and I do think out of all the kids Bruce just doesn't realise how much he messes her up. I'm glad you enjoyed the story!!
