Nice chapter. Was Ivankov really implying that Pierce organized the Bogota hostage situation? That would be a major deviation from canon since there it was the thing that made him ultimately join Hydra. I like how Steve and Serena are bonding. It looks like she's going to take over Natasha's role. But just one thing; Titanic sunk in 1912 and Steve was born in 1918 so he definitely wouldn't be old enough to read about it.

Essentially, yes, Ivankov was trying to manipulate Serena into thinking her father had something to do with her being taken in Bogota...but you'll see how that plays out later on, as I don't want to spoil anything.
