Ohhhh I’m already hooked. This was so beautifully written. I love what you did with Wille and Simon, how you kept what is their essence but evolved from there. It feels very truthful and natural, like a legitimate growth curve they could go through after season 3. It was so well done! Generally, I love the setup you’ve created, with August slowly taking up more responsibilities etc. Very glad to see that Maddie is there, too. She’s one of my favorites! And (because I can’t help myself but speculate and theorize if I find a story engaging so pls see this as a compliment not me trying to steer the story in any direction- I’m happy to go with whatever you write) I think the Queen might be sick and someone has to step in quicker? And since August can’t it’d have to be Wille, at least until he’s 18 and can legally and officially abdicate? Anyway. Loved the first chapter and am super excited to see where you take the story!!💜💜 (Btw King for a Day brought back so many memories and now I’ve got the song playing on loop in my head lmao).
Omg thank you so much - Royally Whipped is my fav WIP so this means a lot coming from you especially! And I could cry that you felt their progression was natural. My goal with this story is a realistic take on where things could go based on what we know about plot and characters from all 3 seasons, but you know, a dramatic take 😏. So that had to include Maddie because she was underrated friend to Felice and her potential with Simon is insane. Same with Alex for Wille. For how much they established them being friends in S2 I was *personally offended* Alex didn’t even speak in S3. And I think Wille having good male friends is important too. No spoilers for what’s to come but please keep the theories going! 💜
