   I'm thinking about writing a companion story from Whitebeard/the rest of the crew's perspective and if I do, 100% chance that of Whitebeard seeing the phoenix for the first time and immediately thinking how much he's always wanted a parrot on his shoulder

   But yeah he is so incapable of not giving Marco everything he wants, he is extremely susceptible to puppy dog eyes (or I guess baby bird eyes)
