Comment on A Snowflake Distinct Among Snowflakes

  1. Where do I even begin?! I love how this Dorian POV sounds. The rhythm of it is so very him, and the snide, sly remarks that hide his earnestness beneath them is just so good.

Even though she's not in it thank you for mentioning my girl 💕 it makes me so happy just to feel "hey! this is happening in my world state!" it's so sweet and such a nice feeling 💕

Dorian's curiosity about Bianca the crossbow made me snort.

I love, love, love the progression of Dorian and Solas' interactions. Not just the dialogue but how Dorian is thinking and positioning himself. And when he finally sits down with Solas over those papers and wine it was so satisfying. I really, really appreciate how you have Dorian face down that repeated and unforgettable fact that he can't do this by himself, he can't change Tevinter by himself even in his lifetime but that it's something he still has to do. That means a lot.

I loved the tense, melancholic meeting at the end. The bitter almonds to accompany the bitter truth. The banter about the poison killed me 😂❤️👌

What a lovely, lovely, lovely fic. Thank you so much for writing it! It was a joy to read.

Thank you for your kind words and I'm so happy you enjoyed your gift! Dorian is probably my favourite Dragon Age character to write and I enjoyed digging into his relationship with Solas, and how Solas helps influence him to work towards changing Tevinter for the better. There's a line in one of the short stories in Tevinter Nights about how a friend influenced Dorian to take the steps he's taking to reform Tevinter, and I've always imagined that it's not just the inquisitor he's referring to, but Solas as well.
