Do you think if Sherlock had been honest if there would have been the same catastrphic rupture between them? I can only imagine the self hatred Sherlock has suffered between Rosie’s injuries and the pain of losing everything that mattered to him. Will we learn more of how he has spent the intervening years?
At this point, I can’t imagine how you will get us to reunification, but I am looking forward to the journey. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Sherlock had lied to John way too many times, but this time John has had a disproportionate reaction, worse than the one he had in the morgue. If Sherlock had told him the truth right away, it surely wouldn't have happened. The entire situation has destabilised Sherlock, and yes, there will be chapters in which we'll learn what happened before Mycroft called him back for a mission in Serbia.
