    1. They bought those houses for when they would come and visit their friends and families, like they weren't very lived in and were barely furnished.

The person who shared the story said they were 14/15 at that time, went knocking on both houses, no one was home, so they snooped through the back, where on the porch were two guitars and a few dirt bikes. When they peeked in through the back window, there was only a couch, a cheap metal chair, couple of guitars against the walls, floor amplifiers, and guess what, more dirt bikes inside the house, lol. Since the vid is about Axl, I'm assuming they've only described his. Truly a bachelor pad, haha.

Word apparently spread fast so I doubt they ever got the peace and privacy they wanted. I guess this info might have gotten lost over time because it seems this isn't common knowledge anymore.

      1. This is actually ringing a bell now! I wonder if this is the same house that Axl and Izzy bought and wanted the rest of the band to live in. During the 1989-90 recordings, Axl and Izzy wanted to move to Indiana and record because Izzy was doing good there, but the rest of the band refused so he and Axl settled on Chicago where Izzy could drive up easy. And I know Izzy got super into dirt bikes when he got sober. Reminds of Izzy’s song he wrote about Axl called Somebody Knockin’ he said he wrote because people constantly came by his house asking if Axl still lives there, it’s gotta be the same one!

        1. Yeah, I've read somewhere about something like that. But this is different, I believe, because it's two houses, not one, and this was after the band broke up, in late 90s or early 2000s, as the person mentioned. Which, to me, makes it even more interesting.

I guessed as much that Izzy probably had more to do with the dirt bikes than Axl. Although, if I am recalling correctly, there's a clip of Axl bringing one on stage in 2006?, so maybe he got into them as well.

I gotta check out that song hahaha
