Your comments have made my day and will definitely follow me through the week. I ended up putting this fic on hold because I felt I needed some time away from it to focus on other projects, and knowing people still found it and liked it enough to comment makes me incredibly happy!
I’m glad you liked the set up with Riku. One of my main goals while writing this AU was expanding on the characters’ feelings and stories, which is partially why they have families now. Riku was one of the most fun ones to write, so much so I ended up reusing the basic arc of pushing others away out of fear of being alone for some other characters.
