    You'll see it later but there'll be a bunch of scenes when Cale KNOWS that his family are worried about him, but he blatantly just. doesn't think much about it other than 'they're worried about me?? why????' because he's too scared of what the answer would be. it'll be a running theme (gag??) in this fic lol

    and I don't think I've explained it yet but... let's just say that Cale's synesthesia is not only affected by sight :) not that the others know that!

      I love him for it, but it hurts too. Good ol' comedangst.

      Oho, I didn't realize that it wasn't sight limited, but though it might be a bit bad of me, I must admit I am quite happy with the additional hurt in the hurt/comfort possibilities. That's the issue with being one of my favorite characters, I love to see them suffer, though of course only for the sake of having them be helped and comforted by their loved ones. There's a tumblr post that talks about how with some characters you have to put them through The Horrors to make them accept love from the people around them, and Cale is one of those characters to me.
