    Curious, but okay.

I myself have considered an IDW Sonic/Cyberverse crossover, and I can imagine a setting that has Sonic's world exist in the Animated universe, but those are just rough ideas themselves.

    1. In the Pre-SGW Archie Universe, I picture the Great War going on as a hidden war in Mobius’s distant past and either the fighters of said war went into sleep mode before waking up in Sonic’s time, left before the Xorda Gene-Bombardments or the Maximals and Predacons circa Primal’s era are the ones who would meet with the current day Mobius. I think that’s another idea I’ve considered.

There has been discussion on SpaceBattles that the Ark may have stirred as a result of the Xorda bombardment, so there could be a basis in that first idea.

        1. I think I might have seen a story that used that idea. Only issue is Ivan Kintobor himself since he’s born in 2006 and would be eighteen years old in real world time around the point where Rodimus Prime would have already become the current leader if we’re running with Sunbow’s take and I go with the Beast Wars over the G1 era.

On the other hand, it does also provide an opportunity for Doctor Arkeville to have a role in being the mentor to the earliest known Kintobor and depict a younger Ivan Kintobor.

I don't know if I'd think it too much. It's not unheard of to change the dates to go with the different settings.

            1. The 1980’s Cold War vibes is what the series was largely built upon and most interesting in terms of what occurred during the decade.

Plus it makes more sense for a secret war to be happening during pre-Social Media times if I’m leaning hard on the robots in disguise element and something that wouldn’t be known to the people of Mobius outside of a few sparse details in the same vein as historical events that aren’t too well documented to the point of being assumed as fictional due to low evidence of their existence like Cantref Gwaelod.

                I suppose that's fair.

                1. Not a TF story per say but I also got my multi-chapter Sonic the Hedgehog & Gadget the Wolf: Freedom Fighters that you can go check out. I consider it as one of my big stories next to PToM.

    2. And the Sonic Transformers crossover is now official.

On a related note, I have also considered doing a Sonic the Hedgehog/Rom the Spaceknight crossover. Make the Black Arms and Shadow by association be related to the Dire Wraiths as they were related to the Skrulls in the Marvel Canon.

Your story, you mean? I'm not seeing such a crossover of yours at present?

        1. The new toys, yeah. Been rumoured for a while until now when they’re officially revealed and after the Megatron Megadrive we got from years back, it’s been a crossover that’s long overdue.

It’s just an idea for now but with the recent Rom the Spaceknight Volume 3 Omnibus coming out, having a figure in Marvel Legends and how easily his lore can transfer over to the Sonic Universe, it’s something that would be fun to do.

What exactly is Rom's story, if you don't mind me asking? I know his comics are divided between Hasbro and Marvel, but that's really all I know.

            1. He used to be a human-like guy who took up fighting against the Dire Wraiths as one of many Spaceknights (or Solstar Knight in IDW) and had volunteered in becoming a cyborg (robot according to the original toy packaging which also mentions the Dire Wraiths which is how they’re able to exist outside of Marvel) to fulfil his mission of ridding them because of the threat they pose to the universe.

A brave poet turned courageous warrior who is sometimes depicted as somewhat dour, weary and somewhat impatient warrior who is committed to his duties as a Spaceknight.

Though he has as much public support as Spider-Man except less so due to his looks. In a way. In other versions, he might have come off as hostile and merciless due to his enemies assuming human forms. I would dare say he’s a little like 2006 Shadow to make a comparison and bears similar qualities as well.

That’s the general story of Rom. An almost folk lore like superhero fighting a war spanning centuries. I might try mixing both the Marvel and IDW lores together. See what I can get out of it.
