Oh man I can totally see the hope eating Lirin alive and denying him rest. Kal had to have gotten it from somewhere after all.
As for other POV’s, I’m thinking maybe Oroden growing up hearing about his big brother who’s dead-not dead-dead-not dead and not really having any memories of him but hoping to meet him again all the same.
Also I’m thinking of Wit. He’s kind of an unknowable guy, but he’s been intrinsic to a lot of Karl’s character growth and has a knack for knowing things so I’m wondering what he thinks about all this too.

Ooooh those are both good. Oroden is hard because we don't have a 'voice' for him yet, and I basically write these by imitating the style of the characters in the books. Wit is hard for other reasons - namely that he's Wit - but definitely feasible. Maybe I'll do him last out of tradition.
