I feel like Ranko doesn't know how to regulate her emotions, and she's too quick to evade discomfort (in a 'out of the frying pan into the fire' kinda way). Maybe we'll learn how and why she started doing that eventually...
Every time I write Akane interacting with Ranma I can't stop making them kinda... not attracted, specifically, but pulled towards one another? Like they're almost fated but something small is always in the way. It really messes with my preferred ship of Ranma and Kuno haha.
