Comment on Of Swords and Redemption

  1. I mean, it is mana. Honestly I meant to just give Shirou more mana so I just had the existing mana from the body took over incorporated into his own since I think mana comes from the soul in the nasuverse. If you're talking about the Laplace factors then that's another thing I was thinking of, maybe an idea I want to toy around with more in the future

Also no Avalon artifact since it's way too broken. Might write a flashback on how he lost it. Honestly he should still be able to trace it and actually have it be functional under the same logic I'm using for his other projections but oh well, no one's complained

. Alternatively he has it but it's nonfunctional without saber which leaves room to do something with it later

    1. Avalon is really broken when its with its owner, between the stupid fast regen and the deployment of the relm of the fae invincibility hacks.

Might be best to keep it in the backpocket for when things heat up a ton.

Shirou really can use all the mana he can get. Between tracing NPs and using their abilities he takes up a ton of energy.

I wonder if deploying and sustaining UBW would be cheaper on mana or more expensive in this world. The world in Fate doesn't lime them and Mushoku Tensei earth does not seem to Shirou being there is general.

    2. Avalon is canonically non functional without Saber, And Nasu did said it would fade away from his body with time.

Other criticism I have is that are two things. Shirou is too robotic here, his inner monologue is similar that for Archers, being a sarcastic little shit. And how generally detached Shirou feels to Zenith. I get he's guilty and wallowing in despair, but he also cares for people he spends time with even moreso in HF where he throughs away his ideals for his bonds

Some fanon pet peeves: RMs aren't forbidden, just extremely rare a few of really old Magi have them. And Shirou's circuits never atrophed , he just isn't is used to using them and needed time for that.
