I will always, always come back to Keith reading books as a head canon, especially romance novels. Pry it from my cold hands. I firmly believe Keith is a lover boy too, just in more reserved, intimate ways in his private time or one on one.
Lance's family is so easy to write for. I kept thinking back to the Launch Date dinner and Lance's reaction to Veronica talking about his "long haired friend," lol.
"I don't think you can mark this as smut," had me DIE. I'm so glad you saw the deeper impact of what I was trying to portray - they want to make LOVE, take their time with it, explore. It's not just a raunchy adult fun time (not that there's anything wrong with that).
For me, they're two war-torn soldiers now making up for lost time under the covers in their most precious, peaceful moments. Let 'em explore in their own time and find what works for them in their partnership.

Honestly…that just adds to my headcannon of Keith being a really sweet character. I totally agree, he definitely reads books. How could he not?! He has these little moments in the show where he’s just so soft and seems so genuinely caring. Wish we got to see more if that side. That’s what great fics like these for I suppose :p
Yes! It’s like a little rule I have for myself to not bookmark smut(not that I haven’t read good ones ofc) unless it’s deep and loving and meaningful. As in, not even smut at this point but beyond. And this was definitely yours. It was honestly refreshing to read and I love your take on their relationship.
Lance family will always be one of my favorite things to write and read! Even tho we only got that small, but great, moment of them in the Launch date episode, Veronica and Lance enhance very well what type of family they came from.
