If I quote 2 or 3 lines of a song in my fanfiction, which I have just learned is allowed, then can I quote the song again in another chapter or another fanfiction? And can I quote more than one song in the same fanfiction? (different chapters)
We consider quotes on a per-song, per-work basis. Therefore, you could quote the same song across several works (but not several chapters of the same work, unless you only quoted the same lines each time) and you can quote multiple songs within the same work (as long as you don't quote too much from any one song).
Would this also apply to a series, for example could someone quote an entire song across multiple works in a single series as long as it isn't all in just one work?
