    Krauser is much nicer to Leon and a much kinder "daddy" in this.

    I could see Leon an AU version, ending up with Krauser who gives him more freedom and kindness, even time as normal Leon. To the point that Leon decides that this is a voluntary dynamic and chooses to stay.

    Now that would be a twist!

    Leon can resume his old life and does. He manages to live as an adult, regain control of his bathroom habits. Even be an agent again.

    But something's missing. He's been so conditioned by his time with Wesker that some part of him still needs this dynamic some of the time.

    Because even though Leon is back in control of his life and an agent again, he never recovers psychologically. He can only function in the adult world if he has this dynamic to go home to every night.

    And Leon realizes that he will never be free of this. Maybe he doesn't want to be free.
