My biggest problem with this story is Emiya's complete and utter disregard for how he's hurting his "mother". It's just not in his character to intentionally cause someone pain like that. At least not a clearly genuine and good person. I mean hell even Archer has difficulty maintaining emotional distance from people like rin and he's suffered far more than emiya.
