I was expecting to see a much, much more... inconsequential travel to the base of operations of Gustave, but hey, a good experience overall, mostly for Twenty-Two of course.
It was a very curious sight when Twenty-Two touched Gustave's arm, I can understand her own curiosity about how and why the arm can even move like that to begin with, considering isn't a real arm at all. I wonder if Twenty-Two even saw something like this previously, I take a guess and say not, especially considering how... I dunno, embarrassed she was after touching Gus arma and the recoiling after the 'umie noticed her.
I wonder if ADVENT even did something like this to their own soldiers, the obvious answer is no of course, but what if at some point this happened? But, not like some kind of prosthetic to help the soldier for future mission, more like augmentations to make them more lethal in any kind of way, like a more powerful Mutton, maybe a much more quicker Viper, or something like that.
Also, so that's how Gustave lost his limps, both arms and a leg? That's horrible, and that's not even counting the other injuries after almost getting killed by that Mutton. How he even recover from that?! Not talking about physically, since that can be relatively easy, but I'm talking about mentally.
Losing your limbs, both arms and a leg, and suffering such grievous injuries? I'm sure something like this can heavily impact on you mental health, A LOT, and it makes me curious about how Gus managed to push through that and, well, end up like this. He doesn't mind in the slightest his condition at this point, even better, I would say he... kinda like it in some way, at least that's what I see it.
I wonder how mane days have passed since Twenty-Two got to eat anything, that wasn't some rations or similar, because the way she reacted after Gus said about butchering the animal he just hit with his van was surprising. I wonder if Twenty-Two was out of her mind at this point, changing completely her own personality due to the fact she had her dinner pretty much at hand with the organs and meat of the, know revealed, to be a buck and a rather healthy one too.
I was hilarious to see this actually, how Twenty-Two completely changed her previous personality and mood, from being careful around Gustave, to actually help him with anything he asked, and she was just so eager to sink her fangs into the meat of the animal. Come to think of it, maybe she was running on low energy and she didn't even knew this at this time, because the way she gulped down the organs of the carcass, so quickly with such intensity (to the point she got stuffed with them) makes me think she was running considerably low on energy at this point, and she could very well just dropped out of exhaustion at a moment's notice and without warning.
And moving on with Gustave, so he was a soldier, and from XCOM of all things, because I doubt a normal member of the Resistance could have that kind of treatment to the wounds he suffered, but, still is a miracle he managed to survive that encounter, and he took down the Mutton too, that's absolutely impressive. But, it seems he can run deep into his own thoughts, to be point he disconnects from the real world, and this seems to happen quite often too, either with normal and detailed thoughts, or just seemingly random ideas he has from time to time, like the whole fear of the ocean thing-o, or the Zoo stuff.
Wonder why's that tho, while I can kinda try to understand why this curious trait of him developed, either before of after his time inside XCOM, still it is very concerning how he can... for the lack of better term... unplug himself unwilling from the real world, while he has deep thoughts about many topics, sometimes focusing just about one, or several at a time.
Oh and look at that, the Viper went into sleep mode some time later, maybe even the stomach ache Gustave mentioned? I doubt it, but hey, if that's the case then sucks to be Twenty-Two at this time.
Both legs and both arms, but not just the limb itself.
The extension of his injuries and the augmentation are actually A LOT more invasive than you might think.
Hit the later Chapters, and you will know how invasive, and how mutilated he is, if you completely take out all of his augmentations. Pretty grim stuff actually.
