Super cool story so far! I love what you’re setting up here, and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Bella is going to have to stay in Volterra for a bit, no matter what, and events like this are certainly going to leave a mark.
If Bella gets a little “human-blood-curious” too, that’ll further grow the rift between her and Edward. Though it does look as the the relationship between golden and red eyed vampires isn’t quite as binary as some portray it. Even the vegan vamps are still vamps, and it’s a small community. That little glimpse of Carlisle’s relationship with the Kings is an interesting microcosm of it.
