    That was a very funny chapter! I enjoyed seeing d'Artagnan in action and, typically, using a clever ruse. De Guiche doesn't have an easy time of it either, being the youngest among very experienced men. He doesn't seem to be taken seriously, and I can sympathise with him. But what particularly stuck in my mind was the sentence about market stalls, that no living things are sold today – followed by a list of animals and, at the very bottom of the food chain, worthless and despised, no longer human beings: slaves. A very clever turn of phrase, kudos!

    1. Thank you, Maren! I think that even if de Guiche sometimes wondered what it would be like to experience an adventure with the legendary musketeers, he'd never imagine it to be something like this, poor guy. But maybe it will actually help him grow up a bit? Who knows ;)
