Chapter Text
Chance woke up startled. The last thing they remembered was iTrapped's sword piercing through their stomach before everything went black.
Where were they? How did they end up here!? They had died for sure, there's no way they survived being stabbed by that sword
As they stood up, the gambler placed instinctively their hand on their stomach, only to realize there was no blood there, the wound had dissapeared.
"What the fuck....?" They mumbled to themself, this situation was so weird. First, iTrapped...their friend....betrayed them and killed them with that god damn sword....now they're here in the middle of the nothing! Alone! Without anyone......maybe it was better if they were left alone. The gambler was still processing what was happening.
He had taken advantage of Chance's trust!....They shouldn't have trusted them. It's all their fault....if they weren't so naive, none of this would have happened
They continued walking into nowhere.... Where were they going? The answer was unsure, this place was unfamiliar, just a big forest, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night. Nobody would probably find them.... It wouldn't matter if they were found. They were dead after all.....but they continued to cling to the hope that,no matter how small the possibility was; they were still alive.
As they continued walking the anxiety they felt was overwhelming. Everything they had to leave behind after their death.
Chance could only think about how sad their parents must be after learning about their death. Or their bunny, Spade! Sure, Chance's parents could take care of it but....Spade would probably miss the gambler's company, being held in their arms...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Poor Chance....if you weren't so naive none of this would be possible.... I know it must be horrible for you. Losing your most.... close "friend"...." With his sword in his hand he moved forward and stabbed Chance with it, dealing a lethal blow to his stomach. How could he do this to them? After everything they have gone through together....
How could they be so blind to not see the truth....Since the moment he had made them play Russian roulette ... He had tried to kill them since the start....And now he had achieved what he craved so much for.....
Their sight blurred with tears and their eyelids dropped....they didn't want to die...."I DON'T WANT TO DIE" the gambler thought, but it was useless, his lifeless body fell limp to the ground.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...Silence surrounded them. Even if he had betrayed them, they couldn't help but....wish they were with him again....Chance missed him, but that was impossible now! iTrapped hates...no, hated, they're dead now, they keep forgetting that they're no longer alive.
Knowing that the person they loved was the one that killed them hurts a lot.
They continued walking through the forest until suddenly a wave of nausea and dizziness hit them with full force. It was overwhelming, their legs felt weak and couldn't resist the weight of their own body, falling to the ground.
They suddenly threw up blood, staining their white shirt as it splashed on the floor, dirt made it's way into their fingernails.
They gagged, tears filled the gambler's eyes. The nausea and dizziness didn't pass, but the forest felt somehow colder. They looked up towards the sky which was completely black and devoid of stars or the moon with several black clouds full of water approaching.
A few droplets of water started to fall down onto the ground before it started to rain heavily.
A flashlight was in front of them. When did it appear...? It wasn't there when they were throwing up.
Chance picked up the flashlight and stood up quickly, running away, following the path the dirt made, their entire body and clothes now soaked by the rain.
As they ran away they stumbled upon a lake and looked at their reflection in the water.
Their face looked perfectly fine, no bruises or cuts from struggling against iTrapped just to ultimately fail and die.
They continued to look at their reflection until the rain suddenly stopped. Such a heavy rain couldn't have stopped out of nowhere, right....?
Then it started again. It took a few moments for them to process and realize.
It wasn't rain anymore what was falling from the sky. A red liquid fell in the form of droplets from the sky into the ground. The water from the lake also turned red as well as some puddles that had formed while it was raining heavily.
They looked at their fingers, it smelled of iron....It was raining blood. And it was a downpour now.
"What the fuck is happening here!?" Chance started panicking and picked up the flashlight to ran away from where they were just a few moments ago. The lake was now overflowing with blood. And said vital liquid they had lost was now falling from the sky.
They held onto their fedora so it wouldn't fall off their head. The sky had turned red too. What the hell was even this god-forsakened place!? First they die by iTrapped and then they appear here out of nowhere and it starts raining blood!!!
They could hear bells in the distance, withering plants and flowers on the ground. No matter where they ran, the bells sounded even louder than before.
The tree branches were cracking and footsteps, heavy footsteps; could also be heard. The heavy breathing of something lurking in the darkness that surrounds the forest. A low growl coming from it.
Thinking about the possibility of NOT being alone here made their anxiety worse. And they were sure that whatever was hiding in the forest wasn't friendly. They looked back and noticed a pair of glowing white eyes, they couldn't stop now.
As the bells got louder and louder, Chance could see a few cabins in the distance. A perfect place to hide and rest! There could be more people here if there were cabins!!
But when they ran towards the biggest cabin, there was no one, but themself.
No one to rely on. Nobody was here.
But what if there was people who were staying here? They looked around the cabin. It looked pretty empty but well mantained to be abandoned. Either that or people left it recently.
They left bloody foot prints on the floor as they explored. It was still raining heavily outside, the blood in their clothes was problem but their mind seemed to be thinking on other things.
Still couldn't get over the fact that iTrapped had killed them.
It took them a moment to realize these weren't the clothes they were in when they got killed. They were actually the clothes they were in when they first met iTrapped
Suddenly, the wave of nausea and dizziness came back. Chance fell to their knees as their vision blurred.
As soon as black spots started to appear in their vision, Chance started to see shapes too, oblivious to the fact they were losing consiousness.
They fell face first to the floor. The blood on their clothes staining the wood.
================================
Chance opened their eyes once again, they were on the grass. But it wasn't the same forest that they were in earlier. No, this was a different place, the building in front of them looked like a church, there was a fence which led to the backyard.
As they walked towards the backyard, they noticed a few graves, none had names the gambler recognized, but Chance couldn't help but wonder who these people were.
If they ignored the graves, it looked like a grandma's backyard. It reminded them of their grandma's backyard. Full of flowers and bushes. It looked like the plants were being taken care of. The soil around the plants was actually still damp. Someone was here recently.
That made a sense of dread make it's way into their now paranoid mind.
Knowing that someone had been here before Chance arrived here made them feel uneasy.
"Oh~ Chance~" A voice behind the gambler called their name. A voice they supposedly hated but couldn't let go of it. As they slowly turned around to face him, the air tingled with a looming sense of dread.
iTrapped was behind them. Sword in hand just like the last time they met. They'd think they wouldn't see him ever again since their murder. But it seems Chance was wrong all along.
Maybe it was some kind of hallucination. They thought that, but when he slashed them again with the sword, the pain was pretty much real.
He didn't talk again, but he did take advantage of Chance's vulnerable form and continued to injure them with the sword. This was worse than their death.
Sword piercing through organs which had somehow magically healed out of nowhere.
With all the strength they could muster up, they run towards something that looked like a cave to hide away.
Another grave, but the name was covered due to some plants growing around it.
Their stomach was bleeding horribily, there was no way Chance could stop it.
Tears blurred their vision as they thought about dying again. They didn't want to suffer that fate once again! And definetly not by the same person again.
By the same person who just treated them like tool to use and dispose.
Their throat felt tight. Chance wanted to cry at that moment. They wanted nothing more than to be left alone.
Just as the tears fell down their cheeks, iTrapped found them again. Clothes full of blood.
He slowly approached them. The gambler stepped back but their back hit the dirt wall. There was no escape, unless Chance tried to climb up of course. But with the injured arm and their bleeding stomach it would be hard to do so or they could even make the injuries worse.
iTrapped was just a few inches away from them. This was it. This was the end.
"Sweet dreams, Chance" the traitor said just before cutting off Chance's head. Their head rolling away somewhere while their body fell limp to the ground.
They looked at iTrapped as the remainings of consiousness they had faded away
================================
Chance woke up startled from their nightmare. Their hands went up towards their throat inmediately. A bit of saliva came out of their mouth. Tears made it's way towards their neck.
Was it just a bad dream all this time? It felt so real to be one.
They looked around and noticed they were in the cabin, but they could hear a few voices and footsteps coming towards the couch
"Chance!" A worried voice called out their name. It was Elliot's. They had gone to the pizzeria he works in and then started to buy pizzas there frequently. But due to some problems with Mafioso, they stopped going there as Chance knew Mafioso and his goons went there often too.
"Elliot...? What are you doing here?" Oh wait... how could they forget. Elliot had dissapeared a few days ago. The only thing that was found of him was blood. They thought he was dead, so it filled Chance with relief that Elliot looked fine and was alive at least.
"Well....I was in my room. Then....I think I was kidnapped or somethint, I just saw a black figure and then ....I woke up here. I wasn't alone though, there's more people here, but I was one of the first ones to arrive here" He said that as if he didn't want to remember that. Being kidnapped like that was probably traumatizing. Chance now felt kind of bad since they were only thinking about their problems.
"Are you ok? How have you been doing? Are you injured or something?" They stood up too quickly and checked if Elliot was physically fine. "I want you to be honest with me, kid."
"I'm fine, Chance. At least physically..."
"Oh, thank god you're ok" they let out a sigh of relief "and, what is this place?"
"Well, it's a cabin in the middle of nowhere. And there's no way we can escape from here" Elliot rubbed his arm. What did he meant by that? No escape from here?
"Wh-what? What do you mean there's no escape from here!? Are we trapped here!? Bu-but- There's no way we can't go back!! I just arrived here!! I swear I found a path through the forest and took it to get here!!" Chance grabbed Elliot by the arm and went outside. Walking towards the way they had arrived from. But when they did, the path was blocked by fallen trees "w...what? No! But it wasn't like this earlier!!!"
"I told you. There's no way to get out of here"
"But there must be another way through the forest!"
"There's no other way, Chance! It's dangerous to wander through the forest at all times! And even if we found a way to get out of here you must remember that we're in the middle of nowhere!!! We could be thousands of miles away from Robloxia!" That made Chance go quiet and let go of Elliot's arm. All hope lost.
When he noticed that Chance had gone quiet, he grabbed their arm "We should go back to the main cabin. It's cold here outside" Chance nodded and walked alongside Elliot towards the cabin "Do not worry, we'll get you a room for yourself"
Chance quietly followed him back to the cabin, the moment they went inside it started to rain outside.
"Follow me" Chance followed Elliot towards a hallway with several doors until they reached the middle of it "This will be your room" Elliot opened the door for them and Chance....well, they simply nodded, their mind was somewhere else at the moment.
"I'll....I'll be in the living room if you need me..."
As Elliot walked away, Chance suddenly felt dizzy and sat down on their bed.
Black spots appeared in their vision and their breathing became shallow and fast. Just like earlier when they passed out on the floor.
The gambler tried to find a more comfortable position and lied down on the bed. Black taking over their vision as their heavy eyelids started dropping and finally passed out again.

Chapter Text
iTrapped was standing in front of Chance. The alleyway felt too small and Chance was feeling a bit claustrophobic.
"H-hey! There's no need to do this!" They said trying to get out of this situation unharmed, but the gambler already knew that no matter what they did, the outcome was already decided.
iTrapped pointed their sword towards their neck, making Chance panic even more.
"Oh, Chance, how many times will it take you to notice you can't change the outcome? You can not even protect him" he slashed Chance's side, a deep cut heavily bleeding had formed there now, and in an attempt to slow down the bleeding the gambler placed their hand on their side.
"Please" they could feel the tears forming in the corners of their eyes as iTrapped pointed his sword at them.
"If you weren't so naive none of this would be happening. It's all your fault. You cause them more suffering. You can't protect those around you with that useless gun you got there, knowing it can explode at any second the moment you shot. And when that happens, you need Elliot to heal you, you make him waste a heal on you when he could use it in someone who needs it more than you. Do you think you even deserve ro be saved?" Those words hit Chance hard.
Since they arrived here they felt useless, they felt bad, they were just a waste of time and resources.
"iTrapped...please- UGH" suddenly his sword was piercing their chest in the middle of their pleading.
The sword was pulled out forcefully out of Chance's chest. They staggered before iTrapped pushed them to the floor and stabbed them over and over again with the sword until their body was full of holes and went still
================================
Chance woke up covered in cold sweat from the nightmare.
Since the day they were forsakened they had that fucking nightmare every night. They couldn't help but feel guilty about this, if Chance had never been so naive they wouldn't be here. People suffered because of their mistakes. Like that time Chance couldn't safe Taph from being killed by 1x1 because their gun exploded. Or when Elliot died because he was on low health but still healed them. Or when.....They couldn't take this anymore.
Wake up, go to a new round, try to survive, repeat.
An eternal cycle of hell it seemed to be.
At least there wasn't any killer they recognized so far. They wouldn't want to imagine what would happen if a killer recognized them. Would they target them? Would he be here?
Chance felt hungry. They rarely eat much as food wasn't really that much of a problem. Not like they would die of starving themselves. But still, they couldn't help but feel hungry. Maybe one of those pizza leftovers would help.
Chance quietly went out of their bedroom and went towards the kitchen, being careful to not make sound as they walked down the stairs. The wooden floors would make a lot of sound, especially at night when everyone is asleep.
When Chance got to the kitchen they simply ate whatever they could find and fill their empty stomach before going back upstairs and finally to their room.
Lying down on their back and staring at the ceiling. How did it all end in this? Chance had stopped asking that to themselves a long time ago. Did time even have a value here? Time was a weird concept here, as it there was no way of knowing what time it was or how many days or weeks...OR EVEN MONTHS HAVE ALREADY PASSED!?
They closed their eyes, bracing themselves for the upcoming nightmare they got to face once again.
================================
A round had started, the cycle repeats again.
Do gens, survive, try not to die- Actually that was just the same as survive but does it even matter?
Protect others, pray your gun doesn't blow up and that Elliot doesn't get targeted the moment he's seen.
As the gambler walked around the map flipping their coin, they started to feel a bit more comfortable as the killer wasn't showing up and nobody was injured.
But they had learned to stay focused all the time as the killer could just show up any second.
Every round, putting on a poker-face, that'd nobody would notice how horrible they felt when they missed their shot or when their gun exploded.
They should have changed the fucking gun.
When they reached 3 charges they looked around for a gen to do. The round would be ending in less that a minute as they checked the timer in the sky. It was a bit hard to see but they'd get used to it. Rounds were usually 6 to 10 minutes long and because of that there could be several rounds in one day. Those minutes felt like hours. Maybe some rounds did lasted hours since it's night when they begin and morning when they finish. Time here was strange.
When Chance finished the gen they noticed something. The timer had gone from 20 seconds left to 1 minute.
Someone had just died but- where could the killer be? They quickly walked away in search of the killer to stun them. The timer went up again, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, teammates were dying quickly and they weren't able to help.
It wasn't until the gambler turned around the corner when they say him...
Elliot's dead body was in front of them and now too far away was Mafioso talking to his goons.
Dammit, if he finds them after what they did....Sure, if they died they revived but.... that doesn't make dying less painful.
And judging by how Elliot looks, his death must have been painful. A broke neck, bruises forming around his face and cuts.
They had to get away as soon as possible, to not be seen during the round. But if Mafioso was here now it meant he'd be in future rounds.
It'd be a 1/5 chance that Mafioso would be there again next round. Fuck....
As they got away they suddenly got hit by 2 of his goons. The burning sensation (quite literally) was even worse than other times. But the moment they hit Chance they disappeared instantly.
So, they work like c00lkidd's minions, they disappear the moment they hit a survivor. But that would also mean-
"You're mine!!!" Mafioso was approaching them quickly as Chance was trying to stand up, being hit once again and the impact making the gambler crash against the wall.
UGH! They felt as if their spine had been fractured by the impact, their shoulder ended up dislocated and it hurt to move, but despite the pain, Chance continued to flip their coin and put on their poker-face.
"Missed me?" Mafioso grabbed them by the collar and lifted them off the floor. They tried to get free of his grip but it was too strong to escape. There was no other way, they will die once again. But this time it will be by the man Chance swore to get away from and never see again.
"Mafioso....What an unexpected surprise" The mafia leader tightened his grip on Chance's collar. Blood from their nose going into their collar "ugh....What brings you here?" There was no reason why he would be here. Everyone was brought to damnation against their will. Or at least as far as Chance knew.
"You. I've been looking for you for over a year and I have finally found you." Has it been that long? More than a year trapped in this never-ending hell
They couldn't reach over their head and fix their hat to remove all weakness, they were too weak to do so. Nobody was nearby to help. Elliot was dead and couldn't heal them. Taph is making a nest and everyone else is dangerously low on hp or is dead.
Suddenly Mafioso let go of them, pulling out their sword.
The memories of iTrapped flooded the gambler's mind. Maybe he would stab them to death or cut of their head just as that traitor did with them. What was even the difference between them!? They both betrayed Chance, both had swords and wouldn't hesitate to kill Chance the moment they were give the oportunity to. They both loved to see Chance suffer.
Was that the reason he didn't snap their neck right away? Just to make them suffer more than they already were?
With all the energy they could muster up they stood up and ran away. But Mafioso threw a brick at Chance, hitting their already injured spine. The inmense pain sending them to their knees, unable to stand up as Mafioso's footsteps sounded closer and closer.
The gambler tried crawling away, but it was useless, no matter what they did, they didn't have energy left. The injuries in their spine, the burns they had suffered, it was all pilling up.
"Fuck" they groaned as they dragged their upper body across the floor, leaving a small trail of blood behind them like a snail. "Mafioso....this is useless.... there's no point in killing me..." He pointed their sword at their chest, startling them. Trying to back away only to be meet by a wall behind them.
"Since the day you stole that from us to this day, I have been looking for you over a year" he had already said that... "And since that day I felt hatred towards you. I wanted to kill you. To see your body slowly turn into a lifeless carcass. That hatred has somehow become even bigger the moment I stepped into this place."
"Ah! But it wasn't my fault!- I didn't even know it was rigged! What do you have against me!? It's nothing personal, right!?" Maybe that question was enough to make the timer end, maybe if he thought enough about it then Chance would survive the round. Their breathing was shallow and uneven. The adrenaline was dulling the pain a bit but...it wasn't helping much.
"Oh Chance....I would say it's not personal but... I'm afraid it's pretty much personal. Now, boys" his goons appeared from all the exits possible. So they were always hiding there!? "If you kill them, I'll buy you all a pizza"
This would happen sooner or later, they must have expected this....they always expected this...Chance was always expecting to be killed by Mafioso and his goons some day, but no! As shitty as this world is it had to say "NO" and it decided it would be better to make iTrapped betray them! Yeah! What an awesome outcome! And then make things even worse!
No one could come to help them, they were the only sentinel left in this round.
Mafioso grabbed Chance by the neck and lifted them off the floor. They struggled against his strong grip as he just stared at them. Then he snapped their neck and Chance's body went limp.
================================
Chance woke up in cold sweat in their- wait....this wasn't their room. Are those their things? Why are there here? They looked around and noticed that it looked a bit... bigger? They quickly stood up and opened the door that lead to where the hallway was supposed to be, but instead they were met with the sight of a small kitchen and living room.
What the fuck was happening? Chance went outside and found out this was actually a small cabin, there were more cabins that looked like the one they woke up in.
It was a bit cold here outside so they decided to go back inside.
Their clothes were stained with blood from last round, weird since they always wake up with clean clothes after a round.
And it seemed that some conveniently placed clothes were on the couch just as they needed them. This place is so weird.
A white vest and a red shirt. They looked really familiar. They used these clothes several times but it with more accessories than these.
Then Chance remembered they were still wearing the same bloody clothes from last round. It was starting to get uncomfortable so they changed into these new clothes.
When they went outside to meet with Elliot once again, they realized the boy also had a change of clothes, as well as everyone else.
"Oh! Hey Chance! How do these clothes look on me?"
"They look pretty good on you."
"Oh! Thanks Chance!" He smiled softly "yours also look good! Also, I see that Mafioso is here now. Are you ok?" His tone and face changed to one of concern. Of course he knew about Mafioso, he was one of his best costumers after all.
"Yes, I'll be fine...No need to worry about me, just...make sure to not die in future rounds please." They changed the topic. Chance didn't want any awkward confrontation about this.
"I try to but the moment killers see me I get targeted...I wish I could do more but the only thing I can do is heal others and run"
"That's why i'm here to protect ya!"
"Thanks, Chance."
=============================================================================================
It was the same everyday. Survive. Wake up. Eat something if you're hungry. Repeat.
All the same. And it had gotten even worse now that Mafioso was here
They almost bumped into Mafioso but they were able to run away quickly.
"Find them" they could hear from their hiding spot. They are a fucking sentinel, supposed to protect others yet here they are, hiding away like a coward.
How long could they hide before being ultimately found and killed?
How long could they hide before the others realized they were just a coward who couldn't confront the person that was hunting them?
They were hidden the whole round, so they had taken no damage. But the others were dying because of them. If only....if only they were capable of walking out of their hidding spot and go against Mafioso, none of them would be dying. If only they had done something, the 4 sentinels wouldn't be the last remaining...
Suddenly, Two time ran towards their hiding spot, holding their bleeding side as their hand was getting stained with blood. They removed their anubis mask and looked at Chance.
"So... that's where you've been all the time... You've been hiding like a coward while we're out there dying!!!" They snapped at the gambler, words full of anger came out of the cultists mouth, followed by a wet cough. "Agh....Sure....I could use my second life but...I don't want to risk it..." Another wet cough came out of their throat and they fell to their knees. Blood coming out of their mouth the more they coughed. Alarmed by this, the gambler quickly approached the cultist and placed their hands on their shoulders.
"Hey! Two time!? Are you ok!?" They asked panicked, the cultist was on extremely low hp. Sure, stabbing Mafioso would give them back a bit of their hp but...it was way too risky to even try and do it. Also, Two time could barely move, that gushing would in their side was a problem, and with Elliot dead, there was nothing they could do.
As Chance was taking in the cultist's condition, they heard footsteps coming towards their hiding spot. Two time quickly covered their mouth trying to muffle their coughs. Blood dripped down their chin, staining their shirt. Mafioso was approaching quickly...where were Shedletsky and Guest!?
Oh damn...they were dead...and there was 2 minutes left ....2 minutes left with a dying Two Time. If they shot at mafioso it gun could explode and kill them if they stacked enough weakness. If they had too much weakness Mafioso could oneshot them. They could be killed trying to help two time. If two time used their second life and died they would be the last one standing.
There wasn't much they could do.
And Two Time noticed that too.
If they died they would be removing 45 seconds off the timer.
If Chance ran far away, then there was a chance they could survive.
If Two Time was able to distract mafioso long enough
"Run....Idiot...." Another wet cough escaped from their mouth. This was on purpose, Two time wanted to catch Mafioso's attention to be a distraction.
Without hesitation, Chance ran away like the coward they were. Yes, but they wouldn't admit that they were a coward, but Two Time now knew about it, and they could use it to blackmail the gambler.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
================================
Both of them luckily survived the round. But somehow Two Time's injuries hadn't healed. That's odd, normally when a round is over whatever injuries you had would be instantly healed, making you ask yourself if they were ever there.
They were met with the sight of a bleeding Two time in the middle of the main cabin.
"Two time!?" Elliot quickly approached them. "Hey!? Can you hear me?" The cultist was coughing up blood in Elliot's arms.
Chance wasn't sure how, but it must have been the adrenaline that made Elliot be able to pick Two Time up and carry them on his back.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine, I'll take care of you" the only reply that came out of Two time's lips was a pained moaned followed by a wet cough as Elliot walked out of the main cabin with the cultist on his back. Maybe if Chance had tried to do something and wasn't so damn afraid, Two time wouldn't be like this.
Chance decided to go to their own cabin too. Locking the door behind them. They felt- no, they didn't felt responsible for this, they were responsible for this. It was their fault that they couldn't do anything to help them. They didn't want to see anyone. All they wanted to do was lie down and cry until they fell asleep.
The gambler has been through horrible rounds, this had to be the worst.
They lied down on their bed, burying their face into the pillow to muffle their cries.
They hoped no one would hear them.
They just cried until they fell asleep
===============================
Ever since Chance arrived here, they didn't have pleasant dreams. Mostly were nightmares of iTrapped killing them over and over again. And with the addition of Mafioso to the killersz their nightmares turned out to be even worse than before. Waking up in cold sweat every morning. It was rare the nights the gambler woke up and didn't felt worse than the night before.
This time their dream was different. It's a peaceful setting, the backyard of a church, full of bushes, graves and flowers. And in the middle of it all, a beautiful white flower. Despite being a dream, they felt like it was totally real. This must be a lucid dream.
A thought in the deepest part of their mind. Something was telling them to water the plant, to take care of it.
A watering can was next to them. How convenient.
================================
When they woke up there was a...peaceful feeling. They felt good? Well, maybe not totally fine but...they felt as if the weight they felt on their shoulders had suddenly become lighter.
================================
Two time, due to their injuries won't be able to participate in any rounds for the time being
If the cultists wasn't in any round they couldn't tell anyone about how much of a coward they were, but they had to make sure nothing like this happened again. If they stunned the killer and acted brave enough, no one would believe whatever Two Time said about them being an unhelpful scaredy sentinel.
It was looking good.
But they felt selfish. What was happening to them!? They used to be perfectly fine...well...as fine as one could be in a place like this. They could stun the killer with no hesitation; they had to fix that and soon. They didn't want the fault of everyone's deaths to fall on them. They couldn't let their problems be affecting them this way. They weren't so...unconfronting.
Their problems were unconfronted. But they weren't able to do so because their mind filled with fear the moment they were standing before Mafioso!
Hoping the panic would end soon and they would be able to do something about it! They couldn't stay there hidden in an unknown corner and wait for the round to end as everyone died around them.
===============================
How many rounds has it been?
They couldn't feel anymore. But the blooming flower in their dreams got even more prettier. They didn't understand why they were having these peaceful dreams as of lately, but they couldn't complain and wouldn't question it. It was nice to have a bit of peace, even if it was just in dreams; after their mind was plagued with panic. They remembered when they staggered due to the overwhelming fear coursing through their body every round. But not anymore. It would be fine now. There was nothing to fear now, they would revive after every death. It didn't matter how many times they died because Mafioso would never achieve what he wanted. If that bastard of iTrapped showed up they could simply fill his body with bullets. There was nothing to fear.
==============================
The flower in their dreams had started to wither. The grass around it feeding off the nutrients it was fighting to get
==============================
They couldn't understand what was happening.
==============================
Why did a peaceful dream suddenly have the center of its beauty withering
==============================
Chance yawned as they got out of their bed. It was odd, usually rounds would have started by now. They didn't know why they were so worried about that damn flower, it was just a dream after all. Their dreams were pretty lucid as of lately, but they couldn't do anything to stop the flower from withering, aren't they supposed to be able to control a small part of their dream?
As they quickly exit their cabin and went to the main cabin in a hurry, the suddenly bumped into someone they had never seen
"Ow! Oh- Are you ok?" They quickly stood up and helped the newcomer stand up. It looked like it was a woman.
"Yes, I'm fine. I just...got here. But I'm not sure how or why I'm here.." She rubbed her arm. There was a gun resting at her right hip, purple shirt and a hat on her head that matched her outfit. She looked like a sheriff. Must be one.
But what did she do to deserve being trapped in damnation?
"I thought the same when I got here."
"It's actually nice to see that I'm not alone here. Oh! I'm Loveshot by the way. A sheriff from robloxia!" She said with a proud smile on her face.
"I can tell" A smile formed in their face. They liked her attitude, someone who isn't afraid of the dangers unlike them. "Nice to meet you Loveshot. I'm Chance." They flipped their coin before putting it back in their pocket.
"If it doesn't bother you that I ask you this, then may I ask how did you ended up here? I mean, someone here? in this isolated forest in the god knows where?" Loveshot looked at them with a relatively calm face, but they could tell that the tone in her voice was more serious than she let on.
"Well...I got betrayed by...a person that was really important for me. I should be dead but...after I lost consciousness I woke up here" They let out an awkward chuckle escape their mouth.
"Oh. Betrayal, yeah, many of my coworkers have been betrayed by other people before" She let out a heavy sigh before continuing "I am not an exception to that" She looked that as if she was remembering something painful.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that..."
"It's ok, it's already in the past, the only thing I can do now is move on and continue...if I find a way to go back to robloxia" How would they tell her? that there was no way of going back to where she lived? That she wouldn't see her friends and coworkers anymore?..."We're trapped here, aren't we?" That made Chance stop overthinking. They simply stayed silent "Yeah...I can tell by the look on your face...Also, I know I'm dead, or at least supposed to be."
"Wait, how did you die then?"
"Well. I was chasing a criminal. A fraud who used to call himself a magician. Then he killed me when I was close to arresting him"
"Oh..."
"It's ok, I just hope my coworkers can at least get him"
"Yeah."
"Shall we get going?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's so nice to have someone like Loveshot around, they have even started to get along after a few rounds together. Maybe she's the closest person Chance has here, besides Elliot and sometimes Shedletsky or Guest.
They even started ignoring the fact that the flower continued to wither in their dream.
They felt like they were getting a break from everything. Back to their normal self.
