Sometimes things don't work out how they're supposed to. What happens when secrets are revealed that could shatter the bond? Even if it seems like it could last forever, with nothing in their way, there's always going to be something looming around. The Spectre requires fear, but certain individuals don't fear the killers themselves. Either that or fear things far more than death. So, it seems that The Spectre needs to get creative in extracting such primal emotions by adding a few changes into the current lifestyle of the survivors.
(Aka Found family/comfort fic for mostly 007n7 cause his lore makes me sad)
