Summary
“It’s a fucking suicide mission! Again!” Yoongi rolled the folio of mission details they’d just been given into a tight tube, wrapping his fist around it and squeezing it tightly, a stranglehold.
“It’s dangerous,” Namjoon said, once he could hear the sound of his thoughts over the whirring helicopter blades. “It’s always dangerous. We’ll get through it.”
“Were you even listening to him?” Yoongi shoved the tube of papers into Namjoon’s chest; he took it and flattened it out. “He literally told us to sink ourselves instead of getting captured.”

Summary
The huge steel chains that attached their ship to the side of the carrier clanked and banged loudly as they were lowered meter by meter, starting and stopping, making for a pretty rough descent.
“I think it’s somebody’s first day on the job up there,” Namjoon said, and Taehyung laughed, agreeing. Hoseok managed a smile, but Seokjin, who stood in front of the inner hatch separating the control room from the engine room, remained totally stoic, expressionless. Nonchalant, even. But Taehyung saw how tightly he was holding onto the console next to him, saw the tension in his hands and the colorlessness of his knuckles. Taehyung thought the secret agent looked like he’d rather be anywhere other than on their submarine right now.

Summary
“Seventy meters.”
Seokjin could go for days on his own without running into a single problem. In any environment. Countryside, wilderness, city, battlefield, anything.
“Eighty meters.”
Maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration. He ran into issues all the time, but really, when he was the one finding the solutions, did they even qualify as problems?
“Ninety meters.”
Never again would he underappreciate having full control over a situation. As the depth increased the ship let out a variety of unsettling metallic sounds, groaning and banging as it adjusted to the changes in water pressure.

Summary
Yes, from what silhouettes Hoseok could discern, a body was being lowered carefully down into their submarine. Frowning, he felt himself rise to his feet. It was difficult to see what was going on; he watched a second person, one who looked an awful lot like Seokjin, jumping down from above, carefully avoiding the body as he did so.
Hoseok stood there, frozen and apprehensive, as the hatch was closed and the power was brought back. Lying across the floor gratings at an awkward, twisted angle was a very damp, very injured-looking young man. It seemed to Hoseok that as he opened and closed his eyes the man was fading in and out of consciousness. But who was this guy? Was he the second secret agent? An adversary Seokjin had fought? Was he —
“Jimin?”

Summary
“Thirty meters… Forty meters.”
He felt the ship level off, but only a few seconds later, a sudden deceleration had him staggering forwards, catching himself on the equipment. The hull groaned and vibrated, the ship trying to drive itself forward and failing.
“Cut — cut the propulsion,” Namjoon said, voice cracking; Taehyung's hands were already on the switches, turning off the motors before he could finish the sentence. The awful sound died down into nothing, and they were all left standing there, listening, Yoongi catching Namjoon's gaze, communicating a shared feeling more than a certain thought.
He gathered himself and walked forward, ducking through the hatch and approaching the navigation console.

Summary
As easy as it was to lose a sense of reference to the surface if you weren’t careful, gravity at least remained the same, and they weren’t supposed to be tilting like this. The ship wasn’t supposed to list to one side.
Curiosity and worry carving out large spaces for themselves among all his other brainwaves, he crept quickly but, given the weird angle, carefully to the forward hatch, waiting there for the time being. Crowded in among the controls, he couldn’t help but notice Yoongi acting pushier and more controlling than he would usually have, especially with Taehyung — not that it was intentional, though, and not that Jeongguk was surprised. He knew very well that the other was nearing the end of his patience.
