Summary
“Couldn’t bear life without you, you know that? I hope you know that. You light up a room, you light up my life—you never bother me, not once, not ever—”
“Yesterday you literally said go grab some chips or something, you’re bothering me,” Peter says, parroting Tony’s voice. He takes another step into the workshop.
“Nope, that wasn’t—geez, Pete, there must be a clone problem—put that—put that one on the list of things for us to, uh, tackle—”
“What’s going on?” Peter says slowly. “Why are you buttering me up? Did you do something stupid?” Peter smiles a little bit, a bunch of scenarios quickly playing out in his mind. “Something so stupid that only I can help you out of it?”

Summary
“I am,” Peter says. He tosses the pillow. “Indebted—no. Inebriated.” He winks, nodding. “Vocabulary.”
Tony narrows his eyes and marches over there, hovering above him. “Uh. Why?”
Now that he’s closer, Tony can see the bruises on Peter’s forehead, the cut across his jaw, and the new cuts slashing all over the suit.
“And you’re fucking hurt,” Tony says, his blood pressure skyrocketing. He kneels down, his knees immediately cursing him, and hauls Peter to his feet. The two of them straighten up—Peter sways and his eyes go saucer-wide and he laughs a little bit, like standing is a very new, special activity.

Summary
“Okay,” Peter says, and he grabs Tony’s wrist. “Okay but I’m actively escaping. At the moment. That’s what I’m doing, at the moment, and that’s what I’m doing. Right now.” He lets out a little huff. “So that’s what I’m doing.”
“Yup,” Tony says. “A bang-up job.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re really killing it.”
“I know.”
Tony is nervous, because the kid is slurring and he’s severely loopy and that can only mean drugs. Were they to keep him docile? Were they to fucking experiment on him? Tony’s not in the suit anymore so he can’t see his heart rate but he knows it’s probably skyrocketing.
