It was silent for a second, an Emperor relaxing in a chair with a leader of one of the only countries willing to stand up against the Empire curled up on his lap, like a fucking house cat. Or, like one of his sons. If only the Bay could see me now, Tommy thought bitterly, ignoring how gentle pads brushed the tears from his cheeks. Then, those gentle hands were trailing down his face, fingers slowly wrapping around his neck. Tommy sat powerless to stop it, his pulse a steady constant as his body thrived under the contact.Series

For a second, Tommy locked eyes with a pair of bright red ones. Even as his breath came out foggy and his nose ran from the cold, he didn’t back down, keeping his muscle tense. His body yearned to throw the sword to the ground and barrel into warm and safe arms, relaxing and giving in. But this was his move, and that wasn’t his play.They expected him to roll over, to give up and submit.

Standing beneath the window, Tommy exhaled, tilting his head back and closing his eyes. Ignoring the colors washing over him, Tommy focused on the light gently bathing his skin in warmth. Here, tucked away from the bustling of the castle and his enemies, protected from the freezing temperatures outside by fire runes and glowstone, Tommy could pretend that he was in the Bay, enjoying the sun’s rays and taking a short break from the boys and the war.He missed his home; he missed his family.
