Summary
As a young witch you are brought to the Malfoy Manor by your abusive Deatheater parents at the moment Lord Voldemort commandeered the Manor for his own use. As your parents plan to push you in the Deatheater’s circles, you find yourself under the protection of none other than a sixteen y/o Draco Malfoy.
Prepare for war, abuse, betrayal and threats, and you just may survive long enough to see a light of a post-war life in Malfoy Manor.All in all, the story sort of follows cannon, except in my version Voldemort and Deatheaters came to the Manor right after the Battle of Department of Mysteries and Lucius' imprisonment.
This is a Draco-centric prequel to my Lucius-centric fic ‘A night at the opera’
Lucius relationship tag will be only platonic in nature.

This is a rewrite of my fic A Night at the Opera.
Since I wrote its prequel - A Dragon's Tale, it bugged me how differently I would have written it had I wrote them chronologically. So here I am. I re-read A Dragon's Tale once again and will now attempt to write what happens after the cliffhanger ending.
I think the problem was that in A Dragon's Tale I wrote Draco as a loving and protective character and in A Night at the Opera he was a completely different guy... along some other things.
Also, the story diverges from the old fic in the middle of a second chapter.This fic assumes you know what happened in A Dragon's Tale but I think it will be a good read by itself as well.
