The sudden words seem to have caught Dream by surprise. His shoulders hitched upwards, and a hand almost shot up towards his mask, as if to adjust it. Bandaged fingers barely caught Wilbur’s eye before they were quickly tucked under the table. What had Dream done?
Or rather, what had been done to him?

Sam was put on trial for neglect of his duty as Warden. Wilbur, representing the prosecution and his client, Dream, notices that something seems amiss.

These days, he didn’t often go out on his own. Even with months having gone by since the breakout, it still wasn’t safe for him to be seen, and especially not with George. There was also the added fear that the moment he stepped outside, he would be there. He would take him back to the prison. He would rip apart Dream’s mind, body, and soul more than he already has.Next time, there would be nothing left for George to save.
