“How did Carl get you to agree to this? Aren’t you under strict orders or something?” All of this felt way too casual.
The man laughed. “Tony won’t care, so long as I keep an eye on you two. And your friend is pretty persuasive, he made me promise not to tell you.”
Peter groaned. “Oh god, did he offer to- never mind. He can’t come. Carl doesn’t-” A sigh. How did Peter’s life get here? “He doesn’t know that I’m Spiderman!”
“Oh well, maybe you should tell him that if you want him to come with.”
“What?” Peter almost shrieked. “You didn’t- you’re not listening! I don’t want him to come! He’s- he’ll say- or do something that’ll get me sent home!”
“Hmm well, he told me something different and I don’t have time for this teenage bullshit,” the driver said, looking at his watch. “So you either both get in right now or neither of you go.”

Summary
Peter checks his back before hopping up onto the side of his building to crawl up to his bedroom window on the top floor.
He soundlessly slides the window open, crawling inside and sliding it shut with his foot before crawling across the ceiling to close his door quietly. May is in the kitchen, Carl must be either still out or at Shane’s.
Peter drops himself to the floor slowly, still careful to not make any sound.
When he turns around, he comes face to face with Carl, gaping at him from where he was laying on his bed. “So it’s fucking true, that footage wasn’t just cool ass editing.”
“Ca- holy shi- what’re you-?” Peter’s heartbeat pounds in his ears as he stumbles back.
“You’re Spiderman!”
