Though victory was won on the battlefield, securing that victory entailed the negotiation of multiple treaties with multiple different states, species, and races. In this folder are the Federal copies of the most important agreements negotiated by the Federation Diplomatic Corps between 2373 and 2380.

SUMMARY: The Ferengi Alliance is one of the most important economic and financial powers in the Alpha Quadrant, and has played a major role in Galactic politics for centuries. Their role in the United Nations victory in the Dominion War (2373-2375), however, has long gone understudied and unnoticed off of Ferenginar. This is a mistake. Despite their minimal military contribution, the Ferengi played a major role in supporting, supplying, and funding the victorious coalition of Alpha and Beta Quadrant Powers, and in doing so, fundamentally transformed Ferengi society in ways that are still becoming apparent.

SUMMARY: Since its establishment in 2249, the Federal Department of Aid and Allocation Control has been on the front lines of nearly every battle against hunger, disease, and privation in the known Galaxy. The Dominion War was no exception. In the face of the single worst sentientarian crisis in the history of this Union, FEDAC and its sister agencies provided unprecedented levels of aid and support, and have continued to do so as the aftershocks of the War continue to reverberate. For billions of sentient lives, FEDAC has represented the difference between death and survival, and has served as the living symbol of the United Federation of Planets’ promise—to allow people to live their lives to their highest and freest potential.

SUMMARY: The Pakled Crisis of 2380-2381 is by no means recalled as Starfleet’s finest hour. There are no monuments to it at Les Invalides in Paris, no mention of it on the Wall of Remembrance at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco. Terms such as “farcical” or “an embarrassment” are often used to describe the nine chaotic months in which one of the Alpha Quadrant’s most overlooked and least-notable species proved to be an enduring thorn in the side the of Federation, before self-destructing in as abrupt and bizarre a manner as it began. But it is worth taking a more intensive look at the events that brought the Pakleds to the brink of war with the Federation, and how the UFP responded. In both respects, this crisis represents a very useful case study in the enduring aftereffects of the Dominion War on the Alpha Quadrant.
