Summary
Wriothesley watched the waves lapping up onto the beach, the light from the sun tinting them golden. The water spread over the sand, the surface of the sea settling down as night approached. The sandy earth beneath Wriothesley’s feet felt strange after standing only on the wooden decks of the Wingalet for so many weeks. One month, and then he could go back to the sea, back to the pirate life he knew so well.
Captain Wriothesley of the Wingalet has brought his ship to Port Lumidouce, where it will be repaired over the course of the month. He hates having to return to land, much preferring his treasured life at sea. While in Port Lumidouce, he meets a mysterious man that goes by the name Neuvillette, who seems much better suited to the elegant streets of the Court of Fontaine, rather than the notorious pirate harbor of Port Lumidouce.

Summary
“By the Seven Sovereigns,” Wanderer whispered. “Have I had too much to drink?”
“Not at all,” the merman sighed, leaning closer to Wanderer. He reached out a hand, gently cradling the side of Wanderer’s face. “Now, what brings you this far out to sea all by yourself, my jolly sailor bold?”
After narrowly escaping the attack that sank his ship, former-captain Wanderer finds himself in an unknown port town. One night, after having a bit too much to drink at the local tavern, he meets someone who will change his life forever.

Summary
His gaze traveled even farther downward, landing on the powerful tail that took the place of Wriothesley’s legs. Dark gray, shark-like skin fused seamlessly with his human torso. The fin of his tail flicked back and forth quickly, keeping him floating in the pool of water with the gills on his chest still submerged.
“Oh, Neuvillette, you’re here,” Wriothesley said, lantern light glinting off of a mouthful of sharp teeth. “I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a situation.”
Being transformed into a merman by a ley line dissorder hadn't exactly been a part of Wriothesley's plans for the week. Luckily, Neuvillette is more than happy to show him what life below the sea is really like.

Summary
Another rumbling song called out from the depths, sending a shiver down Wriothesley’s spine. The lights of the submersible flickered and died, the power fully cutting out.
“Power failure,” S.I.G.3.W.I.N.N.E. crackled, her voice partially obscured by static. “Stand by for emergency power supply activation.”
A shadow passed below the ship, and Wriothesley risked a glance downwards towards the depths of the canyon.
He really wished he hadn’t.
After his spacecraft crashes on an alien planet primarily made up of oceans, Wriothesley is left stranded with only an artificial intelligence module called S.I.G.3.W.I.N.N.E. to keep him company. As curiosity draws Wriothesley deeper into the waters of the ocean planet, he discovers something monstrous lurking in the depths.
