Antinous thought he’d escaped it, no one would be able to trace who he was, what he was, back to the man that he is. Antinous had laughed in the very face of his destiny and had shaped his own path.
Telemachus thought he’d overcome it, his own self was an identity no one would ever be able to take away from him. Telemachus had unraveled the tapestry Fate had woven and started anew.

Antinous feels the boat dip beneath him and hears the waves crashing, a bird croaks. Telemachus lets out another whimper behind him. Antinous doesn’t see why he’s so upset, at least Telemachus isn’t bound like he is. Pampered brat. His own binds feel as if they’re tightening with every passing second and the pounding in his head has only lessened to a dull throb. The bite on his neck still stings.The pirate captain’s eyes flash with wicked glee. “Welcome home, son.”

It seems that Fate hasn’t taken their defiance lightly and demands retribution. Now, far from the lives they had fought so hard to keep, Telemachus and Antinous must prove their right to their own identities. And if they have to bite and spit their way to ensure they make it back home, then they will, all tongues and teeth. -

Athena has been killing her siblings for years.

Each time she kills the child shortly after their birth, before they even get a chance to meet their father.

The god Uranus has threatened the children of Cronus and Rhea with a disturbing prophecy. Rhea, worried about her children's future, tries to flee. She searches day and night, secretly from her husband, for a place where she can give birth to her firstborn without suffering the fate of being devoured by her own father. However, in her eagerness, she flees Olympus to find solace in the land of mortals, where she will meet the perfect person to protect her children from Cronus.

Summary
Athena has always told the mortals under her tutelage that in the midst of battle, pain should be disregarded. Push it aside, she’s always said. Turn off the part of you that hurts. Find a place beyond it and stay there. But she’s not currently in battle, and she’s certainly never advocated for ignoring wounds after the fact. For mortals, that’s a one-way passage to blood loss, infection and death — not necessarily in that order.
Yet Athena is not mortal, and she’s not technically wounded. Her burns have sealed up, leaving thick, uneven wads of scar tissue in their wake. They make her skin feel tight and sometimes they itch, but they are not open wounds. She’s not bleeding. Her insides are not exposed to the air. It all just hurts.

More than three months after the events of God Games, Athena's scars flare up, leaving her with little choice but to come to terms with the long-term effects of her injuries.

Everyone has their reasons and points of views, what's true to one can be a lie to other. Sometimes, we're the villain is someone's story for nothing more than trying our best, sometimes our best isn't enough, or sometimes people just don't see it as worthy.
This apply for the gods, too, such as Ares, Aphrodite and Hera.
Is Ares really in the wrong for being distant, or was he just trying to protect himself? Is Aphrodite to blame for her behavior, or there really is someone else? Hera's actions are bad, or was she just trying to protect her kid?
Everyone has their reasons, even them.
