Summary
His attention was shifted to his big sister, who, instead of working her way up to her feet, stood on all four legs with such ease, like she’d been quadrupedal for her entire life. Now that she was up Mondo could see how different she looked—spikes infected her back and tail; thicker, shorter limbs; and elongated claws that ripped straight through the rubber of her boots. Her goggled eyes were locked on Mondo and something steadily dripped down her chin.
